It’s been about three weeks since I last posted on my blog and probably around two months since I wrote a weekly post.
If I’m honest,I’ve genuinely missed writing and just letting everything out but I just felt so unmotivated. And when I last tried posting, the post had been deleted. Yay for technology. So that kind of made me push my blog into the corner of my mind but thankfully I’ve realised that it’s something I need to continue committing my time to. At least to allow my original purpose for starting it to continue – to have an outlet for myself. A place to just write about whatever I want to.
I’ll be able to dedicate more of my time here from the end of June onward (the end of my GCSE exams) but for now I think I’ll still be able to fit in a post here and there. I really want to turn this small space of mine into something that I’m incredibly passionate about and that I’m proud of. I’m not even going to talk about the amount of blog pots I’ve read and the amount of successful bloggers I’ve found through pinterest in order to try and undertand what it takes for blog to be successful.
It’s bloody ridiculous.
And I’d love for it to happen someday, it would genuinely be a dream come true to be able to have people who regularly read and enjoy my blog so that’s certainly one of my long term goals. I also had a random thought the other day about starting a blog post series or even a youtube channel with just snippets of my life. I’m not sure if I’m explaining it correctly but I’m hoping to try and do something more artistic than vlogger style, I already hate the sound of my voice enough! Probably not the right term but it might be called a montage? I just want to try another form of being able to preserve small memories and events for myself.
I’ve got a confession; I’m obsessed with ‘What I Eat in a Day’ videos. I just can’t help it, I adore food and love being able to watch the different combinations people come up with. They’re so good for food inspiration and I’d love to make videos like that myself! I’ll have t master smoothie bowls and presentation skills before though. That’s definitely a key part of making those sorts of videos.
There should be a makeup review going up quite soon too, it’s a product which I love (obvs that’s why it’s going to be on Safa Loves) and I might even insert a look I did with it! Quick fact about me – I can’t do a cut crease, harsh lines scare me.
I did this a while ago in another weekly post but I’m going to write an updated version of my goals. I certainly haven’t reached all of the ones I made last time but I think a couple where about gaining a certain amount of followers on social media platforms which clearly did not go to plan. Once I’ve made them all nice and clear, I’ll share them over here and fingers crossed, this time I’ll reach all of them.
That’s all I’ve got for now but I’m positive that I’ll be writing my next posts immediately after I publish this one.
Week whatever it is, done.
